I was under the impression I could transfer my current Paypal users to aMember once I signed up, but this doesn't seem to be the case. I was told by aMember support that since the section of my that needs protecting already contains HTTP Authentication protection, I'd have to remove the .htaccess file and then all my current members would have to sign up again through the aMember system. Does anyone know how I can get around this? How can I get the content of my current member's area to be protected under aMember without losing every single one of my current subscribers? Are any plug-ins available for this problem? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks, Erin
How many users do you have? Only solution I can think of is to manually add them, or make a special free signup that gives them lifetime access, and then manually cancel them if they cancel. David
I've got over 200 users. I'd be willing to manually add them, except it would be a nightmare since some have monthly memberships, and others have quarterly and annual. Also, right now all memberships are recurring. I can't give them all free lifetime memberships, so I'm guessing I'd still have to cancel their subscriptions after the month/year/etc. and they'd still be forced to sign up again-and I'd still lose people. If I can transfer current members, is there a way to keep handling them separately from people who sign up through aMember?
