We have a relatively large and traffic heavy membership site - www.BreakpointTrades.com. We imported 800+ members from NetBilling and, since our launch of our new site a month ago, have taken on another 150+ members. We are having difficulty managing the billing. We are working to get away from NetBilling and now have a PayFlowPro account. If a member signs up for a $50 a month product and pays using PayFlowPro, can we change his product to another and expect upon rebilling that he will be billed the new amount? Can we edit the payment under Payments/subscriptions and expect that they will be billed the revised amount upon expiration? Can we change the price for a particular product and expect that all members of that product will be billed the new amount upon expiration? There are many questions and my client is losing confidence in aMember because of the chaotic overview features. We could use some help! Anyone with significant knowledge of aMember functionality might be able to get some consultation fees from my client if they can help us get a grip on this software. aMember support seems to be too busy to be of much use. Hello Ken, PayFlow Pro rebilling works this way: - everyday it seeks for ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION that expires TODAY; - then it adds new pending subscription for the same product that was choosed for existing subscription; - it will setup amount configured in current product settings, previous amounts doesn't make sense; - it tries to bill user for the pending subscription. As said, product id will be taken from expiring subscription, and amount from product settings. Feel free to ask me if there still be any questions. P.S. What means support doesn't have enough time for this? Please give me ticket#, it is interesting to talk about with support staff.
One payment issue at a time is best! There is a guy that subscribed to a $79 product. We wanted him to choose the discounted $69 product, but we didn't offer the discounted product on the regular signup page as it is not available to all new subscribers. We credited this guy back $10 from Verisign/PayflowPro gateway and changed his currently active subscription to the $69 one. Will that change be reflected in the subsequent renewals? Will the renewal process be damaged as a result of this change? I have a few other issues, but let's address one at a time. I think our problem is understanding how aMember handles subscriptions and processes payments. If we knew how that worked, we could do a lot of the things we are wanting ourselves. Thanks, Ken Adcock ps. On our Macintoshes, we are not able to log into your support ticket area (DATA ENCRYPTION ERROR) so following up with the tickets is difficult.
YES, IT WILL BE REFLECTED. NOTHING WILL BE DAMAGED. Please try to use this URL: http://www.cgi-central.net/support/
