    Howdy!

So I've installed this plugin and gone step by step through the readme instructions.

I see it there in my products... but it isn't doing anything lol.

I fill out the form and click "Add" and it doesn't do anything. The button doesn't really even click or register anything. No errors, just nothing.

Anyone have any insight as to why or how I can fix this?

Sounds like a tech issue- you should send in a support ticket.

    Have you done the following?

    1. Run http://your_domain_name/your_amember/admin/add_pltable.php ?

    2. Made sure that you have gone to check aMember CP -> Protect Folders (new_rewrite should be active) ?

    AND

    3. Are you trying ti incrementally show files or folders?

    4. Have you gone to the member page by logging in to the product as a user or subscriber and looked at the menu of links there?

Yeah I put in a ticket before I posted this. Just wanted to see if anyone here had insight as well.

    1. Yep did that

    2. new_rewrite is active, checked that

    3. The plan was to show files if possible. But I tried folders first to see if that would work. Didn't do anything.

    4. Yeah I did, nothing there at all. Members page has no link, and the product page doesn't register that any links were added.

When I installed the plugin... uploaded the files and went to the URL. It actually gave me an error when trying to login to admin CP or member page. Some of the PHP files seemed to have blank lines plugged in at the end of the file and after removing the blank lines the error went away. Maybe something else was messed up in the process of uploading?

Without looking over the server I can't give you any more insight. I've had no problems with the plugin and except for a few issues that relate not to how it works but features I want added Ive found it a good plugin

K then I'll just wait for the ticket to get answered. Thanks for your help though!

Also, is there a difference in it being able to deliver folders vs files?

I dont think the plugin is built to deliver files. It protects directories.
You can hack the member.html to display a link to a specific file though or to display several pieces content links rather than just the single directory.

Woot! The plugin now works. Can deliver folders fine.

What would you recommend for delivering specific files? If we want to feed articles to members every X days.

Currently We have 3 protected folders, each a separate category with separate memberships and articles.... We've been delivering them via autoresponder.

Would it be best to put each article inside it's own subfolder and deliver the subfolder? Or is there an easier way... to keep them all grouped in their own folder together but deliver the files one at a time.

Edit: hmmmm, wasn't aware that you could only link a folder to deliver it once across all products. We have 3 "products" for most of our membership, one regular price, one discounted for current customers from a separate site, and one that is 3 month followed by 1 month recurring... all 3 have access to the same folders and would be delivered the same content. When I went into the 2nd product to put links in it errored and told me "Such Folder Path already exist for product ID '2' ". Guess I'm a bit confused as to how to get this going for all the products instead of just 1.

Will I need to triplicate all the content so each product has it's own separate folder? Or is there a way for the incremental content plugin to actually let me deliver the same content to 3 different products?

Can be done but requires hacking the plugin, and manually updating the .htaccess files.

Are the changes to the plugin anything difficult? or just a cut/paste kinda thing?

Not much knowledgeable enough to dive into that on my own, but if anyone knows what I can change I'll give it a whirl. Not much wanting to wait another 5 days for ticket response, but will do so if that's what's needed for this.

Just wondering how you worked this out? I have the same problem "I fill out the form and click "Add" and it doesn't do anything. The button doesn't really even click or register anything. No errors, just nothing."
