I sell software products that I have created. I have three different versions and then I have a "Lite" version that is free. The Lite version has been a great asset in eventually converting users of it to paid customers. When a potential customer goes to the signup page, I want to hide the Free product. I figure at this point, the user has already been sold and ready to buy the product, then sees a limited Free version and opts for that, instead of making the purchase. What I would like to do, is on the page for the Free product, have a direct link to the signup page like: /store/signup.php?prod=6 This way, users of the free version can still signup. I want them to signup, so I can keep track of the users and periodically offer a "special" on upgrading to the purchased product. Yet I don't want the Free version to appear on the signup page, unless they go to the signup page via the special url as described above. Any way to accomplish this?
You can make the "Free Product" a negative price group (-1) and it will only show up when specifically requested (signup.php?price_group=-1)
