    I run my own webserver

I am using amember pro and the email function wont work because my e-mail server (Argosoft Email Server) needs authentication before it can relay the email.

I could turn it off but then yahoo and aol and other services detects this and thinks its spam and wont allow it unless my email server does authentication.

now in the amemeber pro it has a default option and a smtp option.

has anyone figure a way so if i choose the smtp option i can input a username and password so my email server can authenticate????

or is there any way to fix my problems?!?

    HELP!!!

I fixed my own problem by installing a more up to date version of my email server which has an area for trusted senders, i just added "me@localhost.com" to this option and voila it trusted the email without authentication and it worked. I want to thank alex for helping me out a lot...

Most SMTP servers in the Net should be configured to access any emails from some "trusted IP networks". It is preffered method of protection.
