I'm looking at signup.html in firefox and it looks like gibberish when I open it up in the browser by dropping it on the browser from the desktop. I mean it looks nothing like the signup.php page from the server. I can't open it from the server mysite/amember/templates/signup.html because it says forbidden...

Does this template somehow correspond to signup.php? The docs I read do not explain how these two relate.

Anyway I'd like some more information about editing these to customize the templates.

    thanks for any info.

Use a regular text editor like notepad to open the file.
    Should be text/html in there.

    Forbidden Access to signup.html template

Apparently I'm supposed to be able to edit this from the url that points to the template but my server says forbidden access. Is there some reason that the server would block access. Perhaps some htaccess file somewhere or some permissions setting. Can someone recommend what to change or look for on my server?

    Thanks,

    Dan
