Calling all Amember/Moodle pros! Can someone please explain how Amember works with Moodle? Specifically, let's say I have a 4-part course in Moodle that should be completed 1 part per month (4 months total). How do I set this up in Amember so that: 1) the customers pays once at signup for the 1st month, and Amember charges monthly for 4 months 2) the customer only gets access part 1 in month 1, part 2 in month 2 etc. -- it seems in Amember, for each product you create, you have to select the moodle courses you want the customer to have access to... So if I only select Part 1, how does the customer get access to part 2/3/4. Or if I select all 4 parts, does Moodle handle the enrollment 1 month after the next? 3) Given the scenario above, do the courses in Moodle have to have hard dates, or can it be rolling admission? thx a lot
This is more of a limitation of Moodle than aMember. Moodle does not support progressive distribution of content, except on a timed basis (ie. make this lesson available on this date). Are your "parts" individual courses/lessons? The aMember integration works as you described, associating a single course/lesson with a product. You would need to control this via hard dates in Moodle The eFront team is discussing adding progressive distribution of content so that you can define rules like: "Student gets this lesson 30 days from start of course". This combined with the aMember integration plugin would get you what you are looking for. If you talk to the team over there I suspect you can get them to include it for the next version.
