How To Change Logout Reroute Link

I need to change the page that members are re-routed to upon logging out. I have tried to change this in the config.inc.php script, but it either does not save or it resets itself because everytime i go back into it, the old information is back in there. The guide says you can change this throught the Config area in Admin, but since this apparantly doesn't exist in the Free version, I think I'm stuck.
Does this mean i have to erase the database and reinstall the whole package again? I really hope not because I have already done this twice and it is not fun! Please Help.

Well, after some searching and playing around i figured that the simplest way was just to copy the file, edit it in word pad, and reload it, replacing the original file. This works fine.... Now could someone tell me how to make the re-route open in the exact frame I want?
