Hi I am hoping that someone here can help me as I am going round in circles. I have integrated amember into my site at a very basic level (ie it is controlling membership and access to areas but no payment processing yet). I am now trying to work out that next path and this is where I am hitting problems and hope that someone who has done it can explain how to get round it. Basically my site is a subscription only membership service for horseracing systems. Now because of this when I started to speak with Paypal and Worldpay they stated that they would not process payments for me as I am a gambling related site -even though I am not processing any payments. I looked at similar sites that accept paypal and worldpay and it seems they use an intermediate payment processor, I have just tried one 1shoppingcart and went through all the detail but it still seemed to comeback to the fact that whilst I can use their cart I still need a payment processor like WP or Paypal and then comeback to the same problem. I am sure I am asking the wrong questions due to lack of knowledge but if anyone can help guide me on how to get this in I would appreciate it.
Most gambling pdf type sales sites use paypal. I think paypal only get upset if your funding gambling. Your not doing that, your an information seller. Glen.
Hi Glen, sadly Paypal, Worldpay and quite a few others have now turned me down purely on the basis that I am faciliating gambling. I have pointed out that they have thousands of sites already out there using them and in fact betfai accept deposits directly via paypal but they just say that is different as they were in before the policy change. I think I may have found someone who will process for me, but its going to take a while. I never imagined that this would become such a barrier for me.
