You will need to have a product on the signup page. Just call it something like "Site Registration" and set the price to "0". It should not require a payment system as long as the price is set to "0"

@gswaim : Do you know how they build this registration form ? : http://themefuse.com/amember/member/index . It doesn't need a free product or something...

It would be nice if you can do it for me ( send me an message about your cost ) or tell me where I can find a good Amember developer to create a form like that.

    Thanks so much.

There is a setting on the forms editor to hide the product if there is only one. This is what they did.

Can you please clarify how to set up a lifetime membership?

This is how I have done it:
    • Created a basic membership product
    • Setup price to 0, lifetime.
    • On a sign up form [under form editor], i have no payment configuration.
    • Displayed all products, which is one product anyway ie. basic membership.
So when I test, I go to a sign up form, the free basic membership product is displayed. Then when I click on 'Next', it gives me an error which is below:

I get an error message that says:
    "
    An Error has occured

An internal error happened in the script, please contact webmaster for details

There can be permissions issue, make sure that file have 644 permissions and that all folder in the path to that file have 755 permissions. If permissions are correct please submit ticket and provide access info.
