When joining my site, users will be purchasing products for download. They should be able to download each product they purchase. I cannot get this setup correctly. The way it is working now is that upon purchase the user is brought to an index page where they could see the files..... Any idea how this should be setup?
set the product URL to the full path and filename of the downloadable product. (ie. http://yoursite.com/files/download.zip)
If you have multiple products, you can leave the product URL blank, and use the additional product URL area to create links. This will then bring the member to the members page, where the links will be viewable. You can also create an index.php, or html file that lists the files for download with links. David
Okay, that makes sense and works. So what if in the Resources Area, you want to have a "Click Here to Download Your Product", and you want it to lead to a Wordpress/Download Page, where the customer can then download his product there instead. I can't get the link to work on the Download page. What link should I be providing there, and how will it still be protected?
Did you try putting the links to wordpress pages in the additional URLs? you'll need wordpress/amember integration for that- or use the amembr protect folder protection to protect the download for members only. David
In aMember v4 you can setup links that user will see in his member's area from amember CP -> Protect Content -> Links
