    I'm moving my subscribers (who already have PayPal subscriptions to my product) to a website with aMember. Is there anything I need to do special to handle existing PayPal subscriptions in aMember?

    Thanks!

    To get these recurring subscriptions handled by aMember, you have to:
    - import members to aMember with corresponding "payment records" for every subscription;
    - payment record must be set as:
    - expiration date is 2012-Jan-31 (will be changed automatically when subscription expired);
    - set as "Paid"
    - payment system must be set as "PayPal"
    - Paypal plugin has to be configured at aMember Cp -> Setup -> PayPal

    Importing current PayPal subscriptions

    Perfect!

    So is there a way to "import" many current PayPal subscribers in bulk, or must they be entered one at a time manually in aMember?

    You can use aMember CP -> Import, of course.

    Okay, all imported!

    Hi Alex,

    (I am keeping this subject here because I think it could help others!)

    PayPal is the only payment processing service I use.

    Now each of my customers has an aMember account, imported from a listing with their First Name, Last Name, email, aMember User Name, aMember Password, PayPal subscription number, last payment amount, date of payment entered, and a cancellation date of 1/31/2012.

    I also configured the ipn.php path in my PayPal Selling Prefs.

    (1) If a customer (or PayPal) cancels their PayPal subscription in PayPal, will aMember get a notice and automatically change the cancellation date in aMember?

    (2) If a customer's subscription rebills successfully on PayPal, will aMember get a notice and automatically extend their subscription?

    (3) If a new customer subscribes to my product using ../amember/signup.php, is the payment processed by PayPal as a subscription, or simply a one-time charge (with aMember doing the recurring charges)? I prefer to continue to use the PayPal Subscription feature; how do I configure the product/signup process in aMember to do this?

    Thanks very much!

    Doug

    (1) Yes.
    (2) Yes.
    (3) SURE! :) Just configure your product as recurring.

    Oops, missed one question...

    (3) If a new customer subscribes to my product using ../amember/signup.php, is the payment:

    (a) processed by PayPal as a PalPal Subscription, or
    (b) simply a one-time PayPal charge (with aMember doing the recurring charges)?

    Thanks!
