I wish to create a membership site and am looking for software and especially support to help me to develop it.

    Will aMember help with this?

It appears that I might need integration with content management software such as Joomla and payment processors such as PayPal, perhaps an autoresponder. Are there people and/or organisations that will help me in this including integration.

    Requirements

    Multi level membership
    * free with limited pages available and limited forum activity allowed.
    * Bronze which is subscription based and has a larger number of pages and further forum activity.
    * Silver - bronze plus more pages etc.
    * Gold - silver plus even more pages plus online support.

staggered start on development with free available first. Then as and when I am able to add Bronze Silver and Gold later.

Looking through the forums of this and other software and with integration I have found many issues which I want to avoid if at all possible. Things such as problems with integration with the payment processor and in allowing single sign on seem to be holding people up. Also allowing or restricting access to particular pages is sometimes a show stopper.

Can anybody point me in the direction of what to do first or better still to step by step instructions on building a membership site.

Eg, should I select the membership software first then the content management or do some other things first?

I think amember will handle what you want, and you can use a cms system like joomla to handle the content management. aMember has a built in autoresponder but you may want to go with a 3rd party service like aweber if you are planning on having large numbers of users.

You can check out my demo sites to give you an idea of what amember/joomla/wordpress sites can look like.

    Thanks Davidm1

I was so impressed with your site and the help that I stayed on the site and sent a message from there.

This reply is just to complete things on this thread. For anyone else in the same situation you should go to the site mentioned before doing too much on your own.
