I am using htaccess rewrite to protect the member area. I have some video and big image files for members. Some members are on dialup internet connection and their download is always interrupted. I thought a download software like GoZilla or ReGet can resume download and they should get the files. There was no problem when I use htpasswd to protect the folder. But with the rewrite engine, all they got is the login page. Is there anyway or any software can download from a rewrite-protected area? Thank you for your help.
Jinn, I think it would be better to switch again to htpasswd_secure plugin. It is impossible to solve this problem with mod_rewrite protection.
