It seems that my site falls into a slot where I will not be able to use any of the php include methods of protection. Therefore, I am looking to the .htpasswd_secure method. When you say that the number of records in the db is limited, exactly how limited are we talking? 100, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000? I will probably need to support at least 1,000 and maybe up to 2,000 members in the db. Is this workable or am I just dead in the water? Would this make loggin in very slow... or just impossible? Thanks...
I am using htpasswd_secure on a site with 2300+ members and there are no problems at all, I don't know what the upper limit is though.
