I've been using Feedburner for RSS to email services and for multiple reasons have moved away from them.

In the meantime i'd like to continue sending emails to the non-subscriber base. It appears Amember has this functionality built in (shocked me) with the guest newsletter function.

Is there a way to import 500+ guests into amember? The user import function appears to work only for subscribers, not newsletter guests.

    Thanks.

I was able to hack in the members using phpadmin and importing .csv files. It is pretty easy to do if you know how to use phpadmin and modify the database tables directly.

There are two tables, one that holds the guest subscriber name and email, and another that indexes which subscriptions a particular user has.

If you take an email list in excel and create these two tables by hand they can be imported into the sql table. Worked fine for me.

I was surprised that you couldn't import guest users as easily as normal users.

Great work , I guess like all software it's just something the developers never thought of when designing it.
When you look at all the "I wish it did this posts" and at the diversity of "wishes" its not surprising some facilities were not included from scratch.
This forum is a great source of DIY mods and hacks.
    Thanks for the feedback
