    Hello all,

Has anyone any used any easy workflow solution for importing existing joomla users into amember database.

I would be very grateful for any ideas. At present we have 800+ paid members under our existing joomla+jacl installation.

    Cheers
    Bijou

I think that joomla encrypts the users passwords, so exporting them, then importing into amember will cause them to get a new password.

I think amember tech support may have method for the user to get added into amember upon logging into wordpress- but this wont add everyone...

So I think your only real option is to export the members, then import them into amember, emailing them their new passwords.

    Thanks David.
Looks like that is the only way at present. There is a joomla extension (userport) which can help export list of joomla users along with the salted passwords. I was wondering once we have such a list, whether it could be imported back into amember.

Amember tech support might throw some light on this, I hope

Passwords can't be imported, so you need to import and generate new passwords and then email new info to all users.
