Importing members... need member_id to equal prior member ID

I am new to this....

I have imported members into Amember for our small non-profit organization. All members were previously (prior to aMember) assigned a membership number and would like to keep them the same. I would like to make the aMember member_id equal to the prior membership number. I have access to phpMyAdmin... but need help with the syntax.

Any help would be appreciated.
