Importing Users with existing customer ID

I am trying to import users from an old system to aMember.

The problem I am having is I need to retain their customer Ids. I did not see a way to do this in the import users script.

Is there any way to modify this so it pulls in Ids for users as well as the information?

Think you need to export then import them into the database directly using phpmyadmin.

Is there an easier way of doing this at all?

I have 12,000 customers that need to be imported and I need to keep their existing customer ID not create a new ID.

Any suggestions?
