    Hi,

I don't know if this is mainly related to protection, payments processing, or integration, so I'll post this here.

I have searched amember.com, the help files, these forums and the rest of the net for hours, and have systematically worked through a large number of possible combinations of settings that may have to do with this for two days, but I can just not find a solution to this.

Unfortunately, I have not heard anything back from the official help desk either in over a day, and because I can not afford to be in a total standstill with setting up aMember for potentially days or longer, I'm trying my luck here in these forums now - if you can help, I would massively appreciate that!

This is my current situation / problem:

    1. Products that are not placed to be shown on the signup form can not be accessed by the user later on when the user is logged in. All products that I want the user to be able to buy later on need to be placed on the signup form.

    2. If no payment system is placed to be shown on the signup form, the user can not buy any paid products later on when the user is logged in. If I want the user to be able to buy paid products later on, I need to place a payment system on the signup form, forcing the user to pick a payment system during signup - at a time where the user is often not even thinking about buying anything, and just wants to sign up for the free membership. This will put many users off - they will think "why is he asking for my preferred payment method, I don't want to buy anything right now? I better leave..."

    I do not want this.

I don't want to show any paid products on the signup form, and I don't want to ask the user to choose a payment system (e.g. paypal or credit card) on the signup form.

The user should ONLY see anything related to paying when they have made a choice to buy something later on, NOT at the signup form where (in my case) they only want to get the free membership.

    How can this be achieved?

    Help...

    Matthias

This can all be done with your forms editor. I have pages where I don't ask for a payment system. These are my free or demo products.

As to your #1 question, not sure I understand "Products that are not placed to be shown on the signup form can not be accessed by the user later on".

You have control with your products. You can choose to show them or not show them to members who are already subscribed to a product. This is in your "Manage Products > Product Availability".

As crystalmedia said, you need to look at the forms editor - under 'setup/ configuration'. You're thinking you have only one signup form; in fact, while there is a default 'signup', you can create as many signup forms as you want for any product or combination of products. You can edit which fields (such as payment method) are displayed on each form.
