    Hey all -

I spent some time on the phone last week with Infusionsoft and they told me to post it here since they did not make the plugin.

I ordered the plugin for the aMember integration into Infusionsoft. Is there any documentation on how to set it up, test it, etc?

    That would much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Aaron

There is usually a readme.txt file that ships with the plugin that explains how to set it up.

    For starters:

    1) unzip the plugin to your amember\plugins\protect\infusionsoft directory
    2) from aMember admin control panel go to setup -> configuration -> plugins and look for the infusionsoft plugin under the protect plugins section.
    3) a new tab "infusionsoft" should appear at the top of the page
    4) click on it and read instructions on bottom of the page to configure

If you have any questions you can email me {my username here} @ hotmail.com and I'll do what I can to assist you.

Upload plugin files to /amember/plugins/protect/isoft/ folder.
Enable plugin from aMember CP -> Setup -> Plugins
Configure it aMember CP -> Setup -> Isoft (set API url and key)
Then add /amember/plugins/protect/isoft/cron.php to your crontab and set it to be executed once a minute or two.
Edit products and set aMember CP -> manage products -> Edit Product -> isoft access

Ok, so I've done all that. Then what???

I wish there were more info.

With paypal and 1SC, they go to the signup.php page, there's a payment system listed, then they fill out the username and password. From there, they checkout through paypal or 1SC.

Does the infusionsoft plugin not work that way? Sorry but this isn't enough info. When I do all that is on the instructions, there is no payment system listed.

I can't play around with this as my product is live. Would really appreciate complete instructions on this. Would be great to know is the system going to generate a username and password? I have authorizenet and paypal hooked up with infusionsoft so I'm not sure how all this ties in. Do I need to select authorizenet or something from the payment systems in amember?

You guys have a great product, but wow is the instruction ever lacking. You would have a lot less support headache if you took a little more time in the plugin readme file.

    Sincerely,

    Lisa

    Lisa,
Yes infusionsoft plugin works different way. Plugin just allow to add users from infusion to amember. So you should use tools provided by infusion to handle registrations. Then configure plugin and Infusion settings in amember CP -> manage Products -> Edit Product -> Isoft access and setup cron job.
Plugin will add users from infusion when user will be added to tag assigned to ammeber product and will expire user in aMember when tag will be removed from user's account.

    Alex,

    Thanks for the reply.

So do I need to have any payment plugins selected? Can I just take away all the options, including 'free'? And then should I delete the amember/signup.php page so that no one can register unless they buy through infusionsoft and are tagged with the tag I select in amember?

I've been able to do all that and it works, now I feel like I just need to close off any chance of people registering and not paying.

Sure you can disable all payment options and delete signup.php
But better is just to set scope for all product to "disabled"

    Hey,

I have almost integrated Infusionsoft and Amember but am having one last hangup.

Registration and Payments are processed through Infusionsoft, but I want the user to be able to choose their username on the Infusionsoft order form, so I created a custom input field through Infusion.

The problem is that Amember doesn't recognize this field as the username, and generates a username based on the prefix of the email address.

'Generate Login' is turned off in amember settings.
'Generate Password' is turned on in amember settings.

How do I make this custom username field in the Infusionsoft order form talk to Amember so it recognizes it? And then when it sends the 'Sign Up' email which includes login details, displays the automatically generated password, and the username the user entered in the custom field?

This can be done as customization, contact me in helpdesk I will do this.
but you must make sure that your custom username field will be unique in Infusion .
