Installing apps after aMember install?

I hope this is the right section. I have sent a trouble ticket, but I would like to know if any users are experiencing this.

Any new script I install via cpanel is inaccessible as the url leads to my home page instead of the correct page. Here is an example:

    http://www.mysite.com/phplist/admin looks like http://www.mysite.com

The browser shows the target url with the home page. I assume it is aMember related, but if anyone has any other ideas, let me know.

    Thank you,

    David

David, why you assume it is related with aMember?

I just tried it on another site (my own) which is on the same host and it failed. The difference between the two was, on mine I got the server error. On my client's it appeared to stay at the same page with a different url or opened at the home page. That is why it looked like aMember was involved.

I'm going to intall it manually which hopefully will work better.

Any ideas about the different response to a 500 error?

    Cheers,

    David

I believe your hosting support could give you better advice, because I don't understand how this could be related with aMember at all.

You are right Alex. It was unrelated.

The PHPlist files were the wrong files. I finally got around a bug by installing an older version and upgrading. The only quirk is that either Mambo or something else on the server is not displaying 500 server failure errors which would have tipped me off.

Thank you for your time on this.
