Wondering if anyone here has a recommendation for an ecommerce system that integrates well with amember. Something that can handle importing inventory data.

I looked at a couple carts but they either don't support importing inventory at all or they can import inventory but not the quantity -- go figure. Seeing how there are over 1,000 individual items to import, entering quantity by hand is not an option.

Basically only importing three bits of data: category, product, quantity ...and that's all. Very basic.

So if you can make a recommendation for a cart that can work with amember it'd be appreciated. Open source is always preferred, but if no such monster exists then commercialware is the next best option.

    thx

    Hi andrebell,

Have you taken a look at Magento?

Yes. A few forum posts said magento can import category info, product details, but not inventory quantity. Those will have to be entered by hand. Not viable since I have over 1500 separate items to import. I think someone here mentioned that's why they are avoiding magento for now too(?). thx

    andrebell,

It is a two step process built around a warehouse model using what they call the datafeed model.

    1) Import your product list
    2) Update your inventory

    example info:

Depending on your needs you can do this one time to prime your store and automate the process via cron or API.
