    Hi,

I'm starting up a network of different sites, all using Wordpress. Can I integrate amember with multiple separate Wordpress installs or do I need to try and make all the sites use the same Wordpress user db and then integrate with that?

    Thanks,
    Sam

    :)

The current plugin only supports 1 wordpress database. I think amember has another version available so you can use it with 2 databases. More than that- think you gotta look to a hack to make it scalable.

Thanks, I'll probably end up hacking Wordpress to make them all run the same user database (probably using this hack) then using the plugin with that one.

    Question on sharing cookies

Just wanted to follow-up since I saw this thread and wanted to do something similar...

I followed that hack you linked to, and my 2 installations *almost* work with Wordpress now... but the problem is that cookies are not shared, so you need to log in twice.

Has anyone fixed this before? I followed this tutorial:

    http://engine.taffel.se/2008/11/18/multiblog-single-login-in-wp-26/

But it didn't work for me after I copied all the values he suggests into my 2 wp-config.php files.

    I'm using WP 2.7.1 and aMember 3.1.4
