I was really impressed with Amember when I first bought it. Now I'm concerned when I have to 'fight' to find answers and support for the products I've purchased.

I have an old version of amember 2.4.1. We are upgrading to 3.0.8 version. Since I have version 2.4.1 and need to upgrade .. its not no that drop down list.. so I follow the link for "older version" and they tell me to download 3 Zip. Now what the heck is 3 Zip and where do I find it? No help from support ticket.

Now the second part of the problem is I use Invision Power Board. I bought a plugin for my 2.4.1 Amember for IPB. Now we have the latest IPB board version 2.2.1 and I can't find anything on this site where a link works .. to know if the plugin i have will work .. or if I need to buy a new plug in.

Can anyone kindly answer the plug in question? Will my current plugin purchased with 2.4 amember work with the new versions of amember and IPB boards.

    Thank you kindly.

No it will not Ivision changed a huge amount from 2.1 -> 2.2 I rewrote the aMember plugin to suit (rewrote being the operative word).

Dunno about on your membership screen (on aM) I have been meaning to ask Alex about plugin expiry I thought if you had current 'support' your plugins were included but you(and me) will need to see what he says.

The upgrade notes seem to have what you need anyway!

If you are jumping from an old version of IP.Board be ready for some hassles there too :) 2.1 -> 2.2 was a major pain for a lot of things.

    Cheers .. Larry

I've upgraded several times and the plugins always follow-- no need to repurchase. Most can be moved from the old plugins folder into the new one.

FYI, when I moved from invision board 2.1 to the latest 2.2 my spam posts dropped to near zero. The new captcha verification seems to be the key. And the users all love the new profile features. A free install/upgrade comes with the invision board purchase and you'd be wise to take advantage.
