    Hi,

I'm using the 2.2.0Trial version and am trying to setup a demo for a client and am seeing sporadic behavior from the run time version of ionCube. I've already contacted ionCube and they are stumped as well. This is the Solaris version and sometimes the pages load OK, and other times not. I replaced all of the ionCube .so files and everything was working until I added the "login box on any page" code to a page. That page failed to load ionCube then other pages that were working stopped. I had to access the admin pages and pages started loading again. Strange.

My provider won't install ionCube on the server so I'm stuck with the runtime version or will have to switch providers.

Has anyone else experienced sporadic behavior from ionCube where pages work one time and not the next (with no other changes to the system)?

I'd really like to use amember but if I'm not 100% sure that ionCube and the pages will be displayed all of the time I'm a little wary.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

    Todd

    Todd,
unfortunately, I see no easy solutions here.
You may try to ask your hosting support to install Zend Optimizer and use corresponding version of the trial.

I can say exactly that there are absolutely NO troubles with ionCube on Linux, FreeBSD and Windows server.

    Alex,

Thanks for the tips. I ran phpinfo at my host and saw the below info about Zend. Do you think that I would or would not need the Zend optimizer for your Zend version of amember?

    Zend Extension 20021010
    ...
This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2002 Zend Technologies

    Thanks,
    Todd

I answered my own question by installing and configuring amember for Zend. I need the optimizer. I will try this and see if it loads more reliably than the ionCube.
