If you have the Invsion plugin do not upgrade from 2.1.7 to 2.2 they have added a number of new login fields and it breaks aM. If you convert existing members will most likely work (as the conversion does the replication required) but new members will be out in the cold. I am working on the changes required I think I have cracked it just letting my users in now to see if it works. Larry
I have a fair bit of it licked but I had to setup a test board as my users were getting grumpy I sent Alex an earlier version but still found more issues. What I am doing now is totally re-writing the code and using some helper code from bfarber. If you have been on the Invision forums you would know that there are IP.Board issues to, I had to send them a number of fixes which were included in 2.1.1 it has become a very tedious exercise. I need to talk to Alex about beta testing this one and details Larry
I have finished the Invision 2.2.x plugin to beta level (about to install it on my customer system tonight OZ time). It fully integrates all of the new rubbish from Invision. The only configuration setting it needs is the path to the invision installation directory. It will load all of the rest from all of the various damned places that they load stuff from and will login/logout people exactly as IPB 2.2 does it. If anyone has a tanker load of port to recover from this please send it to me, it has been an enormous pain in the rear end! You will need to load it and reset up your products I was not comfortable with jumping over the top of existing stuff .. IP.B 2.2 is a huge change to logon/membership processing. HoHum .. Alex what do I get for XMAS huh? Larry
Yup. Alex has it now .. don't know if he will announce it's available or what. We have been using it now on the main system without drama, works a treat esp with my large system mod
The plugin is now available for download from members area, and with recent trial version (just upgrade your files). If you are upgrading from old version of vBulletin plugin, please ignore all errors you will see and visit aMember CP -> Setup -> Invision2 to re-configure the plugin.
