Is it possible to change the username to accept other characters?

    hey

    Is it possible to change the script / coding so that the username can accpet other symbols, such as @ , . etc? Ideally I want the username to actually be an email address. Can it be done?

    It is possible but not recommended because it may break most integration plugins.
