    Hello,

I'm testing out the trial of aMember on a Joomla site, running Joomla 1.5.8.

I've followed all the installation and set up instructions in the aMember wiki.

When I create a login module on the site and click on the "create account" link, I get a 404 error page.

Before I installed the Joomla plugin, this link created a new registered user via the Joomla sign up process...no amember pages were part of it.

So I installed the Joomla plugin and now get a 404 page when I click on "create an account."

As far as I can tell, I've got everything set up right in aMember and in the aMember plugin in Joomla, but it's not working.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Have you set the proper directory in the plugin for amember?

    Thanks for the response, David.

Are you talking about the Plugins tab in the aMember admin panel?

The top of that page says "amember pro configuration : Plugins.

I have selected Joomla from that list.

Is there somewhere else where I am supposed to "set the directory" for the plugin?

Or are you talking about the directory for the aMember plugin in Joomla?

In the system parameters for the plugin in Joomla, the aMember root URL has this in the field: /amember

Should it be something else? Is that the directory you're talking about? I double checked that path and that's the exact name of the folder where amember is.

The plugin file name says amember.php

I checked on that file, and it is where is should be, in the plugins folder for the site.

    Am I missing something here?

    Thanks!

Hi David, I just bought aMember 3.1.4 and Joomla plugins today. Just installed it and have some testing now. My question is: Is it true dan amember and joomla should be in same level of directory? By this I mean if I put joomla in root (www.mysite.com), should I also put amember in mysite.com? Can amember in amember directory (www.mysite.com/amember) instead of root? Please advise. Thanks.

Please Help David... or Alex... Please Help

David, why I can not logout from frontend of Joomla?? How to fix this? when i click logout button, the page will only refresh but it does not bring me anywhere... Why is that?

I installed my joomla in root and i can access it both with www.mysite.com or just simply mysite.com (both will bring me to my homepage of joomla, i.e. index.php). I installed my amember in mysite.com/amember.

I installed plugins as instructed. and no other additional plugins unless amember-plugins.

    Many thanks

Did you install the joomla plugin included in the amember zip file?
