Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with the Joomla usermenu and aMember and I was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

I have aMember and Joomla installed on the same domain. I have the Joomla plugin activated in aMember and the mambot installed in Joomla.

When I go to the Joomla front page and click 'register' I am redirected to the aMember registration page just as I'm supposed to be. I register a user for a free account and am sent back to the Joomla homepage just as I'm supposed to be. At this point I'm logged in but the Joomla usermenu, which is set to 'registered' for access, is not available.

If I logout on the Joomla front page and then log back in the usermenu shows. If I click the 'Your Details' button I'm redirected to the aMember details page but after that the Joomla usermenu is gone once I return to the Joomla page. The user login section says that I'm logged in but the usermenu is gone.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rich

    Hi!
Before a few months I worked with a joomla installation. So I do not remember this aspect very good. (And to be honest I did not give enough thought to your problem...) However:

Did you install an amember mambot for joomla?

    Hello Draj,
I installed the mambot and it's redirecting the Joomla links like login and profile to aMember as designed. When I return to Joomla from aMember then the user login shows me as logged in but the usermenu is gone. It's weird, sort of like Joomla is saying that I'm logged in but not a registered user. I checked the aMember/Joomla plugin settings and the user role for this subscription is set to registered user. Also, the user is listed in Joomla as a registered user.

It seems like a cookie/session problem but if I'm the only one having the problem then that doesn't seem likely.

I have a test site set up at duboisdaily dot com if you're interested in registering and trying it out. Also, there's a test account with the user name 'Chester' and a pass of 'tester' already created if that would make it easier for you.

I did a complete wipe and reload in case it was a corrupt file but I'm still having the same problem.

    Any suggestions?
