    Hi Alex and all users,

    I am testing the demo version (3.0.8 TRIAL) of aMember on my shared Linux space hosted on www.fasthosts.co.uk

    Unfortunately they do not allow direct access to Apache conf files nor do they have the module 'new_rewrite' so I am stuck with using .htaccess alone. :(

    I have followed the manual carefully and checked many forum posts but I am still faced with an error when I try to access my test protected folder namely:

    ///
    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@******.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
    ///

    I have experimented with assigning different permissions to the folder etc but to no avail.

    Also, If I protect a folder using .htaccess alone, am I correct in thinking that access to all the contents of that folder (in my case a php based image galley incl .jpgs etc) will prompt the default .htaccess browser 'pop-up' login box or will it use the aMember login pages?

    Does anyone have any experience with using aMember on Fasthosts or maybe offer me a solution to this problem?

    Sorry for all the questions but I am extremely keen to get the Pro Version as soon as I can be confident that it will run on my host server.

    Many thanks,

    teemotee
