I read on a previous thread that Authorize AIM can do the following. Can LinkPoint do this?

I would like to have my members sign up for a 30 day free trial, where they give their credit card, but it is not yet charged. Then, after the 30 days, I would like the system to automatically renew for a normal priced subscription, and have the sytem automatically bill them then.

Any way to do this with aMember Pro as it stands now with LinkPoint? If not, what payment gateways support this feature?

Yes, the LinkPoint plugin can do the same.

    Geez you are fast.
How do I go about setting this up. I noticed on the other post that there is a space for trial price and trial period in the authorize.net plugin. I don't see that on the Add Product/Subscription page. How do I enable or where do I go to set that up?

Oops - I'm sorry, it is not yet added, but very easy to implement. I will make it within 24 hours. Please let me know which version you're using.
It will be faster if you contact us directly at support@cgi-central.net

Possible to have linkpoint not charge at all on trial?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but using a free trial with Linkpoint does the linkpoint plugin make a $1 charge to a person's card and then immediately refund it?

What happens if you use a coupon with Linkpoint? Is any charge made on the card?

I ask because I would prefer if the plugin for Linkpoint simply took the credit card information, but did not make any effort to charge the card and simply gave the free trial. When the trial is up, it could then make the effort to charge the card. If it fails, then it can expire the user or get them to enter a valid credit card.

It is confusing to users to get so many receipts with payments and cancellations when they think they are just getting a free trial.

Yes, it happens. It is required to validate member card. Without this step, member could be able to enter fake credit card numbers and use your free trial as long as he wants.
It doesn't violate your terms, because this $1 order will be immediately voided.
