    Hey guys,

This question is a little technical, but hopefully Alex or anyone else can shime in.

I have multiple projects in the works. Two different type of subscriptions, and products for sale.

My user will be able to sign in, and manage their account. They can:

    Subscribe to
    Package A
    Package B
    Package C
which all linked to WordPress subscription and access. I will manage how content is displayed per Package

    Package D
User subscribes to second subscription product.

    Product X
    Product Y
    Product Z
These are shopping cart, one time order products.

Here is my take on this as far as implementation goes:

    1. I can use aMember Pro to manage the order taking for the subscription packages A through D.

    2. I can use the WordPress Integration to handle login integration with WordPress

    3. I can write custom plugin to do my internal mappings and assignments of access and configure their subscription in all my packages

From what I gather, there is no real integration with a shopping cart. There are no exposed API to use use the billing system for example and not the subscription process.

I assume the above are correct assumptions, right?

Is there a way to bypass the product selection page and go directly to the billing page? can I build my own shopping cart type interface and user management/control panel and only use aMember to manage the billing and subscription events?

I have to say, as someone considering buying this product, the fact that there is no response to fadi's question three week's later gives me some pause. Can I expect better support if I license the product?

    Tarfos:
This is a users forum- not a support desk. to check on support, send a ticket to the support desk and see how long it
    takes.

I can probably answer the above question:
    fadi:
What you wrote out is correct, amember doesnt have a "shopping cart" function- you'll need to add the additional products in amember if you want them to be protected by amember. You can provide direct links to order the products for logged in members.

    David,

I had taken the plung and figured it out :)

As far as being a regular forum, if it is labeled Pre-Sales Questions, one would expect answers. I do understand however, it is frustrating to be answering the same question over and over since everyone wants to ask.

Part of the issue is the poor sales documentation, let alone any other valiable documentation. if I was not a developer myself, I would not have figured out how to customize this thing, and there is hardly any documentation about setting up the system.

When I first installed amember in my sandbox, I could not figure out why I could not set recurring payments. Looked everywhere with no luck. I then thought it might be related to payment plugin, so went and added one and bingo.. it showed up.

Developers are so busy worrying about writing flexible functionality, and little time documenting the system. With flexibility, comes complexity.

But like I said, I have no problem figuring it out... but others, I am sure will.
