Hi, I have a members site and need to be able to design a members area - this will house a page on a monthly basis update the month's content with a new video, pdf download etc - all styled in with my current site http://www.marketingbrainstorm.com/amember/signup.php . I need someone who can set this up so that when I add the new month's content, the old one then goes to the archive.
You already have the hard part done, aMember themed to look like your site. You can use the 2nd Generation aMember Plugin (it is still in beta and a new version is likely due out this week) to control access to a WordPress page. Each month you build a new WordPress page and make it only accessible to members who have an active subscription to the membership area. You say you want to "archive" the page when the month is over. Not sure exactly what you mean but you could easily do the following: Leave the page in the membership area but just place a link to it from the current month's page Leave the page in the membership area for a set amount of time (e.g. 3 months) and then kill it off. At some point in time move it out of the membership area into the guest area. All these options, and more, are easy to do with this plug-in. Some of it may not be automated but it can be done. I would wait until Alex releases the 2nd round of the plug-in that is in development. The biggest drawback at the moment is the lack of documentation. Alex wants to get the plug-in totally finished before he writes the documentation. You can also use Ken Gary's amProtect plug-in to do this. This plug-in is mature and has good documentation and support from Ken. I suppose it also depends on how fast you need this done. If you still need help with this, you can contact me on my website (link is in my signature) and I can help. By the way, my site is using the 2nd Gen WordPress plug-in. Good Luck!
