I've been using paypal for my site for years now; however, I'm really irritated with them lately and was interested in looking into another solution for payment processing.

My website is 100% subscription based (online content.)

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be a good alternative to paypal? I was going to look into google checkout (since I know my customers will know the "google" name); however, I'd be interested in anything that any of you might recommend.

(NOTE: I know that there is a list of payment processors on the site here and I see them in the plugin listing as well; however, I'm looking for advice since I'm not familiar with most of them.)

It would help with this type of question if poster added region of the world as some processors only cover specific areas. Also is the online content of an adult nature?

It is not of an adult nature; however, I do need to provide access to everywhere in the world. That being said, I'm not interested in providing services to folks without credit cards (even in countries where credit cards are not popular.) But, if someone has a "mainstream" credit card (i.e., the types accepted by most vendors in the world with credit card machines), I would be interested in supporting them regardless of where they live.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

Agreed.. Authorize.net is a great (and very widely used) provider.

aMember does not require and does not work with ARB.
With Authorize.Net you can use AIM or CIM integration in order to support recurring billing..

What is the difference between Authorize.net AIM and CIM? I trying to setup recurring billing for subscription. Currently using Authorize.net AIM but I don't see any place where the user can cancel there subscription?
