You can do this within your current wordpress installation. Install amember4 plugin into wordpress: http://www.amember.com/docs/Install_the_WordPress_Plugin Plugin adds three additional widgets to wordpress. In order to display menu in sidebar which is available only for registered users, use aMember Menu Widget http://www.amember.com/docs/AMember_Provided_WordPress_Widgets

Do you have latest amember version? Where you get plugin files? There used to be such bug but it was fixed in latest versions. If you use latest version please submit a ticket with access info I will check what can be wrong.
