member_id using Wordpress am4user shortcode?

I'm been through the documentation for Wordpress shortcodes, but can't figure out how to get the user's member_id.

This apparently doesn't work:
[am4user var=member_id]

Does anyone have an idea how to get it using a WP shortcode?

Not available yet, I requested in the bug tracker and its supposed to be in 4.2.15.

Thanks David. Looking forward to it. For now, I'll have to custom code a workaround using shortcodes and session variables.
