Hi I am new to amember and am just going through the basic steps at present.

I have set up a test product with zero charge, (for now I just want users to register at the general area of the site for free) and have protected the general content folder. I have added protection new_rewrite.

So far so good, and when I click on a link from my home page to one of the pages is this folder I get the default login or sign-up screen.

This is where the problem occurs, the top line of the table asks for membershipt type but there is no field in there to enter anything.

When I try to register entering username etc it bounces me because I have not entered a membership type, yet there is no ability to enter one even if I knew what it was I was meant to enter.

    All help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,

Try Manage Product > Edit > Scope > Visible to all.

Does that work for you now?

Make sure your scope is set to visible, and that you dont have any negative numbers in the "price group" (eg -1932) area.

thanks David/Lee, it was the scope, no idea how I selected the other option. I am making better progress now. I just need the time to make everything sit pretty which is much finer detail and needs a lot of time.
