    Alex,
I just installed and configured aMember 3.08. Hosting server is configured as: FreeBSD 4.9, Apache/1.3.33 (Unix), PHP/4.4.1 running on Plesk 7.5 control panel. After initiallizing protection using new_rewrite, I get the following error in Firefox: The server has determined that this page is redirecting in a way the can never be resolved. Internet Explorer throws up it's standard page cannot be found error. Once new_rewrite option is selected, I cannot access the admin page, nor any of the protected pages without deleting the .htaccess containing the Rewrite rules.

I know that rewriteRules are being used on other sites hosted on this server with no problems.

I would prefer not to have to use .htpasswd as access control if I don't have to. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
