    Hi,

On the Protect Folders setup page both the mod-rewrite and auto_prepend_file options are not accessible.

The message I get on both is:
(Unable to fetch result of test from http://......../amember/data/tests/mod_rewrite/1.php)

Is there a way I can activate these protection options?

    Thx,

    Gerrit

Most possible you have to configure cURL location at aMember CP -> Setup

    Any further help?

    Hi.
I'm getting the same problem. Here are the things I've checked/tried:
    • The amember urls are configured ok.
    • If I type in the url to 1.php as given in the message, it correctly rewrites to 2.php.
    • If I write a test script using the first part of rewrite.php (test for function 'virtual') it runs ok ('virtual' is found).
    • If I try to access rewrite.php directly I get "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare rewrite_run_main() in rewrite.php on line 51" (don't know whether running the page on its own would be expected to work).

Any suggestions as to what's wrong? The whole reason for buying aMember Pro was to allow this kind of protection. None of the other options fit the requirements.

    TIA
    Brian

    Brian,
    2 possible reasons:
    - you did not configure cURL path at aMember CP -> setup
    - it is configured but unable to fetch given URL due to dummy hosting restriction.

You may try to hack checks and use this protection, or you may contact support@cgi-central.net for help.
