Depending on how you configure it, maybe. If you are just updating the end date for their existing membership, yes you will need to send them an email that they have been extended another month (if that makes sense for your site) If you are adding a second product (Month 2 Product or April Product or whatever) you can set that product to have an automail associated with it that will kick off when you click the "completed" box during the manual process of registering the money order payment.

You do not need to re-register the user, just assign the new payment to their account. You can do this in 1 of 2 ways: 1) updating their exiting product membership by extending the time 2) adding a new membership
