We recently upgraded our original aMember/Moodle site from Moodle 1.6.2. Moodle 1.9.9 aMember 3.1.8 Pro The problem: Access to the Moodle site is restricted to email domains .edu .ac.nz and other education domains. Moodle has controls for this access and I wish aMember did. (rather than deny) For some reason, Moodle is no longer recognizing the restrictions if we have amember handling authentication. On other sites that do not use aMember, the "allowed email domains" works perfectly. I am wondering if there is an upgrade to the Moodle plugin since the one we have dated 2008-03-08 or is there another issues anyone has run across?
Can you describe the user experience prior to your upgrade? Was the user able to register, etc. through aMember, but just not able to log into Moodle? You can make a customization to the email validation routines in aMember to only allow emails from domains you specify (ie. .edu, .ac, etc)..
