Is it possible to have multiple instances of aMember on a single domain, spread across sub-domains? e.g. coaching.example.com clients.example.com product.example.com All running as separate aMember installations? Or would it be easier to have a single installation, and if so, can that protect multiple sub-domains at once? Sorry, I'm kinda new around here and having just fired my PHP whiz-kid, I'm tryna get up to speed with things myself. Not my strong point admittedly, but heck. It's about time I got off my bum and did something. - David
Are you subdomains also subdirectories of your primary domain? (example: sub.mydomain.com is also mydomain.com/sub) If this is the case then I would use one installation of Amember to keep things simple.
No, the aMember sites would all be hosted on one domain whilst their homepages on completely separate sites: clients.logincenter.com (homepage clients.com) coaching.logincenter.com (homepage coaching.com) pizza.logincenter.com (homepage pizza.com) Of course, the site isn't "Login Center" at all but my parent company's website, from where we want everyone to log into. And just out of interest, how would I go about having my subdomain mirroring what was at folder mydomain.com/sub? Whew - you're a lifesaved Skippy. Thanks again for all the help!
A lot of hosting companies set up subdomains as subdirectories of the primary domain by default, if all of these domains (clients, coaching and pizza) are hosted in the same hosting account you hosting provider may be able to set it up for you. example: logincenter.com = public_html\ clients.logincenter.com & clients.com = public_html\clients coaching.logincenter.com & coaching.com = public_html\coaching pizza.logincenter.com & pizza.com = public_html\pizza
Aha! I see I can do this in cPanel. Quick question... The subdomain won't direct to the folder, will it? I mean, would: clients.pizza.com/blah display as if the content was uploaded there as opposed to... public_html/blah Thanks! - David
