Hi Guys, I am about to launch a new product protected by Amember. It is a one off payment and so no recurring billing for this particular product. I do however want to spread my risk by having more than one payment processor. In addition I will probably use Clickbank for all my JV/Affiliate generted sales and then my 1shoppingcart (integrated with WorldPay) for sales generated by my own efforts. As I intend to be doing JV launches - big bursts of big bucks - I want to spread the exposure acorss a number of pament processors so I am certainly going to add PayPal Pro and possibly one other (perhaps 2checkout) So my question is this: Am I able to set up the sign up page so that Clickbank customers see only the clickbank option for payment, my 1shoppingcart customers only see the 1 shoppingcart option etc instead of the signup page having all of the options for each of the payment plugins I have activated? Another question that is sort of related. I am used to having the customer see the sales page, fill inthe credit card details, get the product. I see here that the route is Register - Pay - Log in? Is there any impact on customer dropout here before they have committed to the sale? i.e. does the step of registering first before paying have any impact on conversion? Thanks for your help PS fyi I have just got the demo version on a test site and have been playing around with it before I purchase the full version
Yeah, you can set the payment method in a url variable: /signup.php?hide_paysys=paypal_r You may also be able to hardcode that right into the signup.php script, and maybe even have it auto rotate the systems. I haven't tested this, but there's no way too that I can see. David
Using paypal now for selling products but wanting to add clickbank for affiliates I have a quite similar situation but since I am not sure what the answer given above means I would like to post something here. I sell products through paypal now. Want to use clickbank for affiliates Now I am not sure how I proceed from here because I do not know how the clickbank plugin works. All I have to do is to change the payment code on each product sales page from the paypal one to that of clickbank? If so, does the password protection by aMember block those who paid through clickbank? i.e. the customers cannot go to "thank you page (or DL page)". Or do I have to prepare separate sales pages and product settings for clickbank affiliates? Do you have instruction pages of each plugin somewhere? I've been looking but never found any instructional or description pages for plugins. Thank you! Hiro
the payment plugin has no effect on the protection. Protection is set by the protect folder function which is product based. As long as the product has access, the payment plugin doesnt matter. David
Thanks for your answer, davidm1 and kevin_lee! So all I have to do is to install clickbank plugin. Then start selling products through clickbank. So probably I DO NOT HAVE TO make a separate sales and dl pages for clickbank. Correct? Thanks.
Sales page- depends, are you placing amember in front of clickbank? Whats the sales flow? DL page no. David
auto-select payment option on sign-up page David, Thank you for your reply and sorry for the delayed "thank you" post. I have been working on clickbank and slowly I am seeing how the clickbank plugin works. I now know I don't have to make a clickbank specific sales page. What I did not know was that Clickbank payment would appear. After installing the clickbank plugin, I have two payment options, "paypal" and "clickbank". SO applied... in a product sale page. I made a hoplink to test the code and sign up page. The both payment options disappeared. I did not see Paypal nor Clickbank on the sign up page. I proceeded the purchasing process... It led me to the paypal payment page. What did I do wrong? What I still don't understand is a payment link for clickbank should be http://ITEM.VENDOR.pay.clickbank.net right? Now if I should use this url for the clickbank payment (so affiliates can get their commission thru clickbank) , then why is there a clickbank payment option on the signup page because this link will not take customers to the sign up page of aMember? Thank you!
