aMember sets up well for business to consumer subscriptions - individual accounts. Has anyone tried to customize for business-to-business so that one company could sign up (one account) for multiple user subscriptions? This would be like selling seat licenses and using aMember to manage. Right now we're doing a human-powered work-around. One person signs up. If they want to add additional users they email our support person who imputs manually - obviously, a lot of this activity defeats the purpose in aMember. Has anyone tried this? Any alternative ideas to help me accomplish this goal? Thanks.
You're talking about group memberships? I don't think amember can currently handle that. You could give out coupons to the group, and users can then sign themselves up. David
I've had a plugin developed which allows access by IP address (without requiring username/password). This way I can sell site licenses to groups/institutions that access by static IP address. As an added plus, this avoids needing to deal with username/password management. On the downside, it doesn't control timing of subscriptions, expiration, etc. This needs to be done manually. Also, it doesn't allow one to strictly control the number of users accessing from that particular IP address. Andrew
