    Hi,

When a member goes to my site and they click to login it takes them to this page always: http://myrandomwebsite.com/members/member/index

The problem is that when you login it takes you to the regular/default membership information page.

I have logged into the amember admin panel and gone to Configuration > Setup/Configuration > Login Page and then tried to change the "Redirect after login" setting to "Fixed URL" and then I enter my custom URL and then I save my settings. I am doing this because as soon as they login/signup I want to always redirect them to the affiliates tab area.

The problem is that my settings save but the redirect never works. It only wants to redirect them after login to the regular default members page.

So I did an experiment. I went to http://www.myrandomwebsite.com/members/login instead and used the same information.

and now the redirect does work. But it only works if they login from http://www.myrandomwebsite.com/members/login and not if they try to login from http://myrandomwebsite.com/members/member/index

So the problem here is that whenever someone tries to login, like clicks on my login link, it makes them login on http://myrandomwebsite.com/members/member/index but that page wont redirect right.

So I need help either making the login on this page http://myrandomwebsite.com/members/member/index redirect correctly or I need help changing it so that when someone wants to login it takes them to http://www.myrandomwebsite.com/members/login instead of http://myrandomwebsite.com/members/member/index

    Thank you for the help!

That is expected, /amember/member is direct url of Member's area, /amember/login is login page which should redirect user according to settings you have in aMember CP -> Login Page

So if you want to make redirect working just send your users to /amember/login/

    Hello,

I have been having this same challenge, of the redirect not working as I would like it to. I tried this suggestion above, of setting the fixed url to /amember/login, but it did not seem to work for me..? Are there any other suggestions, or something I may have missed in addition to this?

    Thanks!

Please provide screenshots of these screens: aMember CP -> Setup -> Login, aMember CP -> Protect Content -> Folders
aMember CP -> Protect Content -> Files, aMember CP -> Protect Content -> Links.
Or contact us in helpdesk and provide amember CP access.

I'm having a similar problem but different. Redirect after login to a fixed url is working fine. However when a user tries to go to the main profile page (amember/member) they are also redirected to the same fixed url. Users can access the other areas like payment history or profile edits but not the main profile pages that shows what products they have and expiration.

update, it appears /amember/member/index will work but /amember/member redirects to the fixed URL specified in the login redirect field in the CP. Moreover, the nav button "main page" in the member area links to /amember/member. I edited the url in the WP amember widget to send users to amember/member/index when clicking on their profile but this "main page" nav link does not appear to be editable.

I believe you use aMember inside wordpress theme? If so check plugins which you have installed in wordpress itself.
I guess that redirect happens because of incorrect plugin configuration. if you can't find what is wrong still, contact us in helpdesk.
