    I'm considering buying aMemberPro.

    I have several questions:

    1. I want to setup a recurring payment membership service. Does this software support this? (OK: dumb to ask - after all... that's the whole point of the software right!!?? Please answer all the same!)

    2. User is signed up. Month 3: their payment fails. What automatic functions are there...?

i.e. give user 7 days to sort out payment, or suspend account.

And, if the payment problem is not sorted out within 30 days: their acount is cancelled!

Does this software have this sophistication?

    3. Payment gateways: what's the deal here? Are ALL payment gateways supported? is there any problem because I am in the UK?

Credit card info storing: I've seen in some of the solutions for UK that the credit card info is stored on the aMember database - I would prefer it was stored at the credit companies palce - that way, I have no worries about someone hacking in and stealing??

Why is it not possible to have credit card information stored on the credit card processing companies website for ALL of them? Why some and not others?

If I use Paypal: is that a safe solution to go for?

    4. Interlogy: I've come accross this as well. How does this service compare to them?

    5. I have developed a custom membership system. You sign up and then you can use the services conatined to create your own webpages.

Nothing rocket science here: but, I need to add a membership and payment system.

How easy is it to integrate aMembers system to my custom sign up system...?

    6. Sample customer websites: I'd like to see some! Is there a customer website portfolio to look at somewhere?

    Thanks!

    1. Yes recurring payment is supported.

    2. not sure on this one

3a. Perhaps not all, but a good number of them. (http://www.amember.com/paysystems.php)

3b. Lots of folks using it in the UK

3c. Storing credit card in the database is optional (and off by default)

3d. PayPal versus another payment system, all depends on your wants, needs, ability to get merchant account, etc.

    4. Interlogy, guess that depends on your needs... (integration, single sign on, digital goods, etc)

    5. Development of single sign on plugins is well documented (https://www.amember.com/p/Main/Manual/)

    6. Among other places, you can find several here (http://www.amember.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=18)

    guys

    thanks for the replies.
i think i've had most of my questions answered.

    apart from one:

"2. User is signed up. Month 3: their payment fails. What automatic functions are there...?

i.e. give user 7 days to sort out payment, or suspend account.

And, if the payment problem is not sorted out within 30 days: their acount is cancelled!

Does this software have this sophistication?
    "

i was told by someone that the above was possible - but i thought i'd ask just incase.
if someone could confirm: that would be great.

if payment does fail: what is the default action?
whatever, i think it's essential to give the customer at least some time before the service is shut off from them.

trial: i'll definitely give it a go!

question: once downloaded, is there any connection to the amember website?
or is everything run off your own server?

    thanks.

No connection to Amember website (there is a version check feature, but can be disabled)..

Everything is hosted and executes from your server.
