    Hi my hosting (media temple) just did some database upgrading and its totally messed up my site. They sent me this:

    The problem appears to be that your "amember" software is encrypting the database information, so that we are unable to make changes to it. The line of code in the /filmschoolondemand.com/html/amember config file that controls this password is:

    * aMember PRO is a commercial software. Any distribution is strictly prohibited.
    * Decoding and de-compilation of this file is also a copyright violation and is
    * strictly prohibited.
    */
    // BEGIN AMEMBER STARTUP CODE
    $_f = chr($_x = 0x60 + 2*3 - 1) . chr($_x = $_x + 0x11) . chr($_x = $_x - 0x15) . "\x6c"; eval("\x65\x76\x61\x6c(\x67\x7a".chr($_x = 0x70 - 7).chr($_x += 5).chr($_x -= 8) . "\x6c\x61\x74" . "\x65\x28\x62".
    "\x61\x73\x5\x36".

    As you can see, this is encrypted so that we can't read it, or update it. You'll need to contact "AMEMBER" to inquire how their users are supposed to update their database passwords. When they explain how to do this, please either update using their instructions, or let us know and we'll take care of this for you.

    Can someone please help? I sent a ticket to amember and never heard back. thanks

    Are you using the trial version, which is encrypted, or the 'real' version?

    If the purchased version is being used did you replace all the files?

    First, code that they included in their message related to /amember/rconfig.inc.php but amember store mysql connection info in /amember/config.inc.php so they just looked to incorrect file.
    Also, as I can see from your ticket history, ticket about this issue was answered on Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2010 10:03:23 +0400 you can check reply here: http://www.amember.com/support/

    So have you submitted another ticket?

    If you supply them with access info I would be very surprised if they cannot sort problem.

    Another suggestion would be to rename your existing aMember directory already on your site and reupload all the aMember files.
