Hi. I have been getting aMember set up and tested and had pretty much everything done when I discovered that my web host (Globat) doesn't support cron jobs, so now I apparently can't do recurring billing, etc.

So it would seem I need to move to a new host and either completely set the whole thing up again from scratch, or hopefully there's some way to migrate the database and whatever else is needed over fairly easily.

Does anyone know if there's a fairly easy way to do this? Fortunately I hadn't actually purchased the license yet, so that's not a problem (was just about to, so good thing I discovered this first).

    thanks in advance,

I think hostgator is a good choice, and if you contact them they will help you with the move.

    David,
thanks for the suggestion. I decided to go with HostGator, but because I'm moving to a new domain name, they won't take care of it for free, so I decided to try it myself. With some stumbling around with the editing of the config file, I basically have it working (at least I'm able to log in to the admin area without php errors finally).

The only thing is now I keep getting asked for my login information over and over (after logging in OK initially) in a loop and none of the settings changes I try stick. Very odd. Time to start searching for a solution to *this* problem.

Any ideas from you or anyone else would be appreciated.

    thanks,

    Worth
