Is there any way to change the URL where the 2checkout routine is sent? When the aMember signup request is set to 2checkout, the perspective sale is sent to 'https://www.2checkout.com/cgi-bin/crbuyers/recpurchase.2c'. Whenever I try to test it out, I get an error message from their system saying that my seller ID is incorrect. After checking their (rather weak) documentation, it seems that they are expecting the sale routine sent to https://www2.2checkout.com/2co/buyer/purchase. Example: https://www2.2checkout.com/2co/buyer/purchase?sid=xxxxxx&product_id=1&quantity=1&demo=Y When I change the URL to the new one above, but keep the passed variables the way aMember sent it, all seems to work fine. No more error. The URL they are now using seems to be new as I have an older account and it uses the same URL that you are. If it makes any difference, I am using (as a test) the free version of aMember. Thanks
To be honest, I'm shocked of these things. 2Checkout guys changed payment interface without any warnings. Worsest thing is that interface is now even more worse than previous. Please allow us 48 hours to create new 2checkout module. We will post message in this topic. P.S. Hopefully, change only affects new 2checkout customers, so existing 2checkout customers should not worry about (yet )
Thank you for looking into it. To be honest, I am not even a little surprised that they did this without warning. I have been using them for about two years now and they pull stuff like this all the time. The worse part is they offer virtually ZERO documentation on pass back routines in the 'new' membership are. I'm not even sure how you are supposed to set it up so that it will pass something back. If you want, I will give you access to my account on their server so you can see what they have for info. That way, you can adjust your documentation accordingly. It is way different than the 'old' membership area. If interested, hit me up via email.
pending URL in 2checkout I think my question might be related to this change that 2checkout has made...I'm configuring 2checkout for the first time. They now seem to have two URL's they ask you to enter--one if the payment is approved, and a second one if the payment is pending. Should I set both URLs to: http://www.yoursite.com/amember/plugins/payment/twocheckout_r/thanks.php? Thanks, Terri Z
Terri, there is zero documentation for new 2checkout payment routine and to be honest, it doesn't seem to be working, so we decided to don't support this until they write some docs.
Alex--I'm not sure I understand your reply. You mean you can't support the new 2checkout system at all in amember? or just the payment approved/pending part?
Yes, I'm going to wait 1-2 weeks, then I will try to implement integration again. I hope they will get new integration interface working within this time and they will write some docs (currently there is no actual docs). In fact, it currently doesn't work at all !!! I never saw such a not-professional behaviour from payment processor!
Thanks, Alex. I've just submitted a ticket to 2checkout, asking them when they will have documentation ready. If I get a reply, I'll let you know.
Is there any progress on this? I've just spent $49 signing up to 2CO and have only now noticed this thread THIS SUCKS!
I called 2Checkout regarding this.. told them it's ubelievable that they would release a new version with no documentation.. he basically agreed and sent me a link to what they have so far. He gave no timeline as when it would be finished. https://www2.2checkout.com/documentation/
Lets wait until next Monday. I believe they cannot give any useful reply now, because they should be overloaded by such questions.
Just some additional information I use 2checkout and all is working fine. I do notice that when I log on there is an announcement for all new members with account numbers 200000 and up to log into a different page www2.2checkout.com. Apparently, for right now, all member accounts below 200000 will be using the original server and nothing changes. Update It looks like averybody will have to change over eventually. take a look at this 2checkout newsletter I came across http://www.2checkout.com/newsletter/
I put in a ticket at 2checkout.com. Here is the response I got: We've made the decision to go with Authorize.net. I'll be looking for a refund from 2checkout.com. Hope this helps others! Terri Z www.solo-e.com
If parameters could be the same, it would be fine. However, it is not true. In fact, when I last tried, 2Checkout did not pass ANY parameters to our script. I hope it will be fixed until next Monday, I'm going to run new test then.
NO receipt number Alex I had one subscriber who completed a payment through 2checkout but one thing I observed was their was no receipt number issued. Their was no manual entry either. With this payment constitute as a valid transaction? or is this non-issuance of receipt number part of the ongoing 2 checkout problem? Thanks in advance
I cannot give you exact reply. As I said, 2Checkout communication protocol has been changed. It may cause any kind of troubles. I recommend you to validate this order manually.
refund from 2checkout.com Andre et al, I requested a refund from 2checkout.com for my $49, and have received a reply that they will grant that and close my account. Seems fair, since I never completed any transactions through them. Others who have been burned might try this angle too... Peace, Terri Z www.Solo-E.com
Thanks Terri, I appreciate the response. I'll follow your route if Alex, on Monday, cannot resolve the 2CO issue -- and declares that 2CO is no longer an aMember supported payment processor BTW: Who are you going to go with now?
We're trying Authorize.net, as both our gateway and our merchant account. It's a higher setup cost but lower percentage of each transaction, than other merchant accounts we looked at. You'll want to evaluate the total cost based on your expected monthly income from your site... We haven't implemented yet, so I can't comment on user-friendliness, except to say that at least their site loads faster than 2checkout! They have over 96,000 subscribers...so they must be doing something right! Hope this helps! Terri Z www.Solo-E.com
l recommend to have a look to this payment processor as well: company . Price should be close to Authorize.Net price and in fact, both offer the same level of service, both authorize.net and linkpoint are very serious and reputable companies. 2Checkout cannot be even compared with them.
